time you are
a river
in distant thought
slow moving
for child eyes

you drop a year
down hard face cliffs
over rough edges
then back to smooth

faster flowing
narrowing of width
prospective of a journey
mating time begins

another moment joins
then quicken is accomplished
older rocks
become worn
from fast flow use

you are a moment drop
faster than sunray shimmer
at the bottom of the hill
where quiet of maturity
waits as a deep pool

of you...
