Earth slept for a while, I noted its quiet song
through the nights of cold hibernation
through this winter long

Now, I listen to the murmerings
from deep, deep inside its core
the voices, the song of springtime
is about to sound once more

The trees at the point of bursting
the flowers raising their colorful heads
a force of nature, that was dormant
now awakened from the dead

Soon the fields will be golden with new corn
and the sun will caress us with its warm rays
another year, another summer, happy days!
Rich
