She was
an angel
lost in
yesterday's
destiny
swept
off her feet
into a
trail
of bittersweet
and
neverending
turmoil...

I knew
her
brief as
it was
and she
somehow
deeply
touched a
part in
me
once upon
an
autumn
day...

To many
she was just
one more
street girl
among the
corridors of
time
where she
resided
alone
and
vanished
come early
dawn...

Looking back
to that
day
when our
paths entwined
unexpectedly
at a desolate
corner
of a dimly lit
street
where raindrops
trinkled steadily
from canvas
of purple
covering her
as shelter
she stood there
trembling
in a trance
clutching
her drawings
she just
completed...

Today
her existance
is erased
and nowhere to
be found
but I remember
her each day
that passes by
and when
I stroll by
that familiar corner
and gaze towards
the purple awning
seen there on concrete
walls before me
are sketches of
her innermost thoughts
laid out
in a patchwork
upon the cold
stone
left there
for all
to remember
her vision
of joy
struggle
and
love...

She was
an angel
afterall
fallen from
the skies above...

This is so lovely, Coco. *S* We never know just when someone is going to touch our lives... or when we'll be left with just memories. This angel lives on because you remember... thank you for sharing her with us. *S*

from the beginning. . .

"She was
an angel
lost in
yesterday's
destiny"

we are reminded by you, PoetFriend Coco, that not all angels have wings. . . sometimes, we have to help them achieve them. . .

wonderfully done my friend. . .

Coco, Angels should never fall. And when one is captured by the gravity of dark earth, let's help them! And when one disappears, God knows where she is and someone, somewhere must pay dearly.

Please, girls, all girls, stay in the light so we can see you. Make friends. Don't become anonymous. Get help! We love you! I love you, every one of you! Don't let anyone lie to you. You are never really fallen, just detoured. Captured by carelessness in the bondage of darkness. Escape!

Interesting story.  And the painting.  They do go together.  Very good.

Cocobaci do you realize in Vancouver alone right at this time we have a huge investigation going on into 50 fallen angels that have been missing for some time.  Each one of these women were someone's wife, sister, Mother, and definitely important to someone, so I thank you for writing this one - it is indeed special for you never know who will touch your life.  I have put the link for you to see the sadness of all that are missing here, it's terrible.

Your poem coupled with the picture depict the story and mood so well, I commend you for it.

Here is another local one with the huge reward being offered for information to find out anything about the person responsible... http://www.city.vancouver.bc.ca/police/news/missing/poster.pdf

CocoBaci, a wonderful and sad tribute. I love these words, and I'm sure all the night angels hear them.
