You Never Said…

Lost my shirt under your bed
Those beige pants turned me on

You never said a goodbye
Not even a so long

That salty sweet taste of your body
Did nothing for my sanity

Just a moment, a touch of the dare
How it ended I don’t really care

That last kiss in the rain,
And once again I was gone

You never said a goodbye
Not even a so long

You won’t find me in any small town
Unless you keep a light on

And these cold nights are empty
Oh, I miss those sweet sighs

Now all I’ve got is this salty song,
As I breathe in slow and long

Now your words don’t caress my nights
It’s just an empty box of light…

You never said a goodbye
Not even a so long

You never said a goodbye
Not even a so long…

You never said it was a goodbye.

Its not so sad.... I was listening to "The Hip" and "5440" and had some ideas going through my head.... trying to song-I-tize it..

I'm really a believer in watching for the light kept on...

Theres a light that blinks on the top of the arch 24-7, does that count?   ROFL
(hey, you started it)
Well you dont need a shirt...just that cowboy hat and your guitar so you can sing this and make us swoon.
Love the melancholy melodics here P-man.
and the "imagery"

You never knew what I loved in you,
I dont know what you loved in me ...
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be.

What a song this is...sultry and yet lonely.
Good one Parker!  Nice to see you here.

I’ll keep the light burning
To guide you to my side
I’ll keep my heart waiting
Arms open wide

Patiently I’ll search the stars
For a sign from you
I’ll listen to our song
To help get me through

These lonely nights they haunt me
Nothing aches more than this
Sweet handsome baby
I’m longing for your kiss

Well, she doesn't really have to be an Irish lass... wild locks of red would do...

Parker...this one hurts, but then, you meant every word of it, so it works...but how I wish you had no need to write this one...

well done, Sir...

dg, did I leave one under your's too... lol

Well I'd hate to get the color wrong cause women are so sensitive about that...
They sure fit well though...

Sunshine, well only the empty box of light part hurts. Now how would you know I meant every word of it.... Actually it was just an abstraction of reality... isn't that what we poets are supposed to do, and besides the song I was listening to was sad so thats where this went.
