Where goes the shadows
That runs from approaching day,
I hold my sorrows,
In a cold hearts hide away,
When goes the brightness
That displays my expressions,
I long for darkness
To hides sullen emotion;
How long last the light
That lingers me in the bright
Longing for shadows of night.

Gloom

The shadows remain ... they're merely under attack, so to speak

Gloom,

I know your seek a darkened plight
One now attacked by Angel, Light
Insisting that you have Pure Sight
Eyes must open you cannot fight

For is it so Professor Gloom
All hopes for darkness are now doomed
Shades are now opened in your room
As you awaken to Spring's bloom?

Thank you, Rex Allen McCoy,
Darkness always seems to be under attack
Never enough places to hide.
Pleased you enjoyed,

Thank you, Mistletoe Angel
Always a pleasure share with those that appreciate
As nicely as you do.

Thank you, SmartChick,
Glad you liked it and please do try,
Remember the rhyme is not a requirement
I just do it because of my temperament.

Thank you, Silver Streak,
Another wonderful poetic response,
But I’ve shades and shutters aplenty in my house,
And darkness and light cycle round.
Spring goes to Autumn, Summer to Winter,
Changes in time is the great truism

Gloom
