Repost:

   She was in Great Shape

She ran her three miles every day.
Swam her thirty laps.
Watched her diet in every way.
Abstained all the fats.

Exercise was her answer.
Her routine mainstay.
Exercise the enhancer.
Was her fun and play.

She was a vegetarian.
Weighed a perfect weight.
An avid sanitarian.
Cleanliness her fate.

She really thought she had the answer.
Laying there in crepe.
She died of pancreatic cancer.
But died in great shape.

No what I expected at all Seymour, lol.   There is much truth in this piece. How often we strive for perfection, then get sidelined out of the blue. I think I'll stick with my steak and fries so I can enjoy my time here. Well done!

Best wishes,
/Kit

(big huggggssssss) Oh Seymour, I know this feeling ever so well myself, my heart goes out to her loss although I'm glad she did so much and she was proud and happy of herself and staying healthy! (sigh) This is a wonderful sensitive poem, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I remember this...even then it made me wonder, since I don't get as much exercise for all of my day job...what will I die of?

Tired fingers, probably...

Thanks for the smiles!

I knew from the title this was NOT about me!!! *G* But it's filled with such wisdom, I'd know it was yours even without reading your name, Seymour... it is excellent. *S* No matter how hard we try to stack the odds in our favor, our number will come up.

Seymour hi there, I know this isn’t about me or mum, I did love the humour of this one. Very clever witty and perspicacious none of us knows how long we have, lets enjoy what we do. Wonderful writing I like this

Part of being in great shape is to know when you're only going in useless circles...not really listening to the whole self.

Oh well, anyway, it's worth a try to get/stay in shape.  Even if just to fight off being worse!

Life is far too short to not live it!
So hand me a candy apple and point me towards the carousel...
Enjoyed so much Sy!
