Some nights it echos inside these blue walls,
Makes appealing comfort the words I find here.
Rattling around this empty place of expression,
I stumble across so many items that bring cheer.

But I find words that give pause to meaningful reflection.
I read of those who have died and gone on.
And how their loved ones bravely renew their lives,
Bearing the memories of those whose departure is such pain.

And occasionally, mind you, there is a bit of humor,
Well worth the search and the subsequent guffaw.
Quite often we fall on the floor and laugh,
But we laugh out loud and laugh our ass off.

There's not much better than propping your feet up here,
And reading about our friends and families that we love.
For it's a great place to have a coffee and warm your buns,
And watch for the magic when they release the dove.

It's a wonderful place these blue echoing walls,
They bounce the laughter and pain around again.
But it helps us to cope with our lives when we leave,
And helps us to forget our heartache and pain!

So that's why we left the door open for you,
It's possible we've all gone to sleep by now.
But understand we trust you with our things,
And just leave a little of yourself for us anyhow.

Since you have been here and looked around,
We're pretty certain there are valuable things you learned.
So come on back when the rest of us are up and about,
Let us greet you cuase that is what you've earned!

Your words are so true, as there is a little piece of all who write here.  A very nice invitation it was indeed Larry.

I've often wondered how many others enjoy coming in to these forums for a read ... people whom we may never know ourselves ... and yet "they" may very well know "us". What a lovely piece Larry ... you got me pondering this morning. Much enjoyed!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Amazing. I'm keeping this one, ya know that. And as soon as I find a way to put my name on it as the author, I will.
You never fail Larry. You always touch me in my solar plexis. Leave that Webster's dictionary alone, you already know this one.

BTW, I'm the one who needs a dictionary today. I have a feeling it is spelled plexus.  But the meaning is clear as a lucite window. (Thanks for the lucid lucite word idea, Accordionmaid)

Larry, this is terrific!  If this is how you ramble then you can stay up every night and greet those that stop by for a read.  You sure roll out the welcome mat in a wonderful way!
Hugs.
