Take from me, tears found in my eyes
Wipe away, the clever disguise
Seek answers, lost within my mind
Reach me with your heart’s honesty
Speak language of tranquility
Leaving the façades far behind

I need your touch, strength of your hand
Convey the connect, understand
Not too much, just a word or two
Allow me a glimpse, peek inside
Share your emote, in soul confide
Reveal secrets kept out of view

Open your arms, grant me heaven
I offer only devotion
Or any price you’d have me pay
But for one moment genuine
A chance for feeling, once again
Just for a heartbeat, let me stay

I’m in search of sincerity
Poet, I need your poetry

Susan,
It is the most I have to give,
Part of the reason for which I live.
Let me write for you that I may share,
Thought of my love far beyond compare.

Words that exhalt you for your beauty,
Words that are shared but not of duty.
A poem prepared to soften your heart,
That you may open to me from the start.

Read my words from my poet lips,
As you sway for me your lovely hips.
Read of my secret love I hold for you,
Now that it's known, hold it close...please do!

Everybody thinks of changing humanity and nobody thinks of changing himself. Leo Tolstoy

What a poem full of emotion Susan, and if I lived closer I would not only open my heart to that muse of yours, I would give it a bear hug!  Nice writing Sea girl

I wouldn't ask you to pay ANY price, nor should any woman have to.

My breath is waiting for your own.
We should not ever be alone.
We've much in common, you agree?
Come walk with me beside the sea.

I have an angel I hold dear.
I often hold her when I fear.
A simple drop of rain, that's all,
but still, each day, on her, I call.

I now call you, you have a choice.
I know that you have heard my voice.
It's but a whisper, still, it's there.
You know how much I truly care.

I wrote this sonnet just for you.
Each word, you know, I speak is true.

See...got me into a writing mood.   You're the best, Susan, and a great friend.  Thank you for that!  Your poem is wonderful!

Ah Susan ... to feel that genuine emotion ... if only for a moment. You've captured this perfectly through these beautiful sentiments. A lovely read.

Best wishes,
/Kit

YOU KNOW I LOVE THIS, RIGHT?
I am SO digging that rhyme scheme...
and the cadence..this was melodic to read aloud...and the intend of inspire is pure poetry. Only another poet can understand the way we crave to feel the words.
very very cool write SEA-girlie.

You never knew what I loved in you,
I dont know what you loved in me ...
