Once it was so full
sustaining life
with nothing left
to fill.
Drying up and weathered
from winds of time
no longer holding
it's thrill.

Lifeless and barren
motionless, disturbed
only by a faint
passing breeze.
Once again
helplessly controlled
an empty body
under seize.

Out there
somewhere
in the distance
a ripple yet is seen.
Just a glint of life
a chance yet
for fate
to intervene.

Let the thunder roll
as the heavens quake
and let the life return
to this forsaken lake.

(looking out over the dam near where I live,
realizing how quickly life can be affected by the simple process of the passing of time.....)

PLEASE SEND RAIN!!!!!
~Me~

(I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance~Garth)

Very beautiful, Gentle Spirit...

Out there
somewhere
in the distance
a ripple yet is seen.
Just a glint of life
a chance yet
for fate
to intervene.

Its amazing how little ripples can turn into big waves.

Yes, Gentle Spirit, my canal is also dry. Our lake is down 18 feet. As every year Florida gets more and more in need of rain. As man wastes more and more of our precisous resource, our forest thirsts. Thanks for sharing this.

Well done.
Sometimes the chaos of thunder is by far preferred to yet another sunny day.

(big hugggssssss) Awwwwww, this is so sad but also beautiful, sweet friend, out here in Colorado it is so dry and I yearn for the Arkansas River to flow with water again! (sigh) I hope rain soon comes where you live and fills that lake again, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Donna, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
