Rose Of Patience

One single, fragile bud born of May
blooming in a lush garden bouquet

Velvet petals burst with the sun's grace
of crimson smiles in mother nature's lace

The heart sighs in awe of it's power
cleansing soul with majestic shower

It's purity, breathtaking as a kindred kiss
intoxicating life with everlasting bliss

For, love is patient like the rose
it's beauty with time surely grows

This was beautifully done Melissa, and you made me come and find it (you forgetting to send my links girl!) LOL, lazy aren't I.  Truly a pretty ditty indeed.

This is a truly beautiful poem of a rose...
Amazing how flowers are so much of our world
and our poetry....Maybe that is why we have
them....to enjoy, write about and to give to
those we love...

Hello Melissa

We are saying goodbye to Summer and hello to Autumn here in Australia.  Your words were as beautiful as your red rose bloom.  I have more than 70 roses at home and this reminded me of them.

Take care......Sue

Thank you everyone

There's just something about roses and love that just fits perfectly with poetry~
