And Then it was Spring

World came
pounded me down
into the soil
Flood came
bogged
and mired
I waited,
mud
held me,
clogged my breath,
clouded my vision,
muffled my hearing
immobilized
all I would do
then Son came
brought His light
by His sun
lifted the flood
tickled my soul
as I burst forth
to bloom
my spring
in Him
