Sharing A Shelly Sunrise

~*Marge Tindal*~

I have felt night-angels weep
in soft caress on moistured cheek
Trickling down to find a smile
left by loved ones,
here too short a while~

Of all the angels I have known
Shelly shined the brightest at the dawn
She left upon the rays of sunrise
waved goodbye ... through misty eyes
Said ... "Watch for me on the morning skies."

Then upon jubilant break of morn
a Shelly Sunrise in glowing adorn
Morning has, in beauty broken
love once again ~ brilliantly spoken~

She is so loved and so missed in this heart~
I have touched remember,
finding it still knows her sunny smile~

In special birthday remembrance
of Michelle Lynette 'Shelly' Barr
March 10, 1962 - November 22, 1984

There is so much beauty in a sunrise, the promise of a new begining. I hope the beauty goes a little way to help easing the pain.

Margie girl this is utterly utterly breathtakingly beautiful
I love it I can hear the loving ache within. Truly spectacular writing I love it

In this day of remembered strain
I hide behind my heart’s true pain
The joy that you are there above
Is muted by my souls abiding love
I miss you more than I can say
Your smile stays with me every day
If I could take a photo in my soul
I’d see that I’m not completely whole

I hold you close in the dark of night
Then see you in the dawning light
Your smile drifts across the skies
Which lights my eyes in sweet surprise
Your smile lingers in the early sky
My heart hears your soft goodbye
You’re with me my whole life through
And I’ll always remember you

Marsha

DearestFriends~
Shelly came into my life at the age of eight ...
knocked on the front door of my home then plopped herself right down in a corner of my heart~

For fourteen memorable years, she was an everyday presence in my life ... we laughed, we cried, we shared ... she left more than she took in her leaving ... I thank the Lord that Shelly touched my life~

She was the light of morning ...
an angel on a twenty-two year tour-of-duty here on earth ...
she was soooo worth remembering ... and so I do~

I thank each of you for letting me share a Shelly Sunrise with you ... she would have liked that~
*Hugs*

This is a beautiful and poignant poem, filled with longing. Very well written. It tugged at a familiar string in my heart, and spoke excellent words for it.

Sweet Friends~
On a yesterday-of-remembering ... memories of Shelly fell so softly into my heart ... we planted a rose bush in the yard ... and I've dedicated it to the eternal blooming of her little spirit.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the gentleness of your comments~
May you each find a Shelly Sunrise to greet your dawn~
Love n' hugs~
