My First Goose Egg
By Larry Chadwick

I laid my first goose egg,
It was really pretty lame.
Posted in this very spot,
By a different poem name.

Seems I stayed up late,
And wasn't thinking straight.
It didn't stand a chance,
From the time it left the gate.

So now it's gone and I am glad,
I don't even have regrets.
Except I credited Midnitesun,
And now she hates my guts!

Everybody thinks of changing humanity and nobody thinks of changing himself. Leo Tolstoy

To all:
Kacy doesn't hate me! Do you? (It's my sick humor and I couldn't control it tonight!)

Roses are red; violets are blue
Made my goose egg a thinking of who?

You!

Larry darling boy, I know what you mean though, sometimes the poem does need rescuing. I think it’s all a matter of timing, one of my poems, well several of my poems have sunk like a stone. This however won’t. You know it’s my personal mission to save poems that have too few replies. I never like to see something a poet has worked over, not mine I rarely work at them, but others fall too fast. So I spend my time fetching them back to the top. I know I’m not the only one, who does it, I know there are others.

So if this sinks I’ll fetch it back. I promise THIS IS A GREAT POEM

ROTFLMAO.
If this is really designated "Woman's Month" you might want to watch out for all of us ganders. How could anyone be mad at you?

I was just glad to get to put it to rest! LOL Thanks always.

Magnus,
You do know how to make a guy feel better! ROFLMAO

Sunshine,
Actually...I did! And I have no regrets. LOL

Lyra,
I never doubted! I knew you were there.

Kacy,
LOL I'd trust you with my life! I wasn't even concerned. However, I did credit you for the idea. ROFL
