Touching- inspired by Seymour Tabin's poem, " Doldrums"

' Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!"
Immediately he was cured' NIV Matthew 8:3

I have no interest, energy
My spirit's gone somewhere, you see
There is no hope; I am not free
My soul is cast in misery.

I fell into despondency
My ocean's calm with squalls in me
My shifting winds; my restless sea
Just leave me crying hopelessly.

I search and search to carry on
In shattered pieces from each dawn.
Where are you God? I so need thee?
As I am stalled internally

Look up! Look up! I here God say
Reach out! Touch Me another way!
Only when you touch a brother
Sister, child, a father mother,

Will lost power return to thee
And calm your ill, despondency

Through touching.

Yes Newell, when we touch our fellow man with love, kindness, words, it puts a big smile on Gods face, and it returns tenfold to us. Love this one. floria
