Rewrite, Repost:

Doldrums

The ocean laid green leaded glass
A stifling still of waters pass
Closed eyelids to fires red
Everything was still and dead.

The wheel was burning ebony
My thirst was inner agony
A tongue of swollen welt
The driest dry I’ve ever felt.

A mind of nil that drains your will
The ropes of taupe looped limp and still
The sails hung dirty gimp and gray
A muffled soundless eerie day

The stillness takes a heavy toll
It reigns your mind and chains your soul
And drains from you your wit and mane.
It strains your frame to question sane

The doldrums echo nothings dream
A burning light with nothings deem.

Looks like Randy needs a reason to roar
and even when youre bored to the beyond...
youre still cooler than cool...
this line proves it..............

And drains from you your wit and mane.

Crazy like a fox(or dragon)
me thinks ya need some tea and company to get rid of the troll of droll.

Seymour~
Some days you wrap me in your poetry
and I am tenderly caressed by your thoughts~

Seymour, thanks for your splendid thought- provoking poem. Great images, my friend! And also thank you for inspiring another poem, "Through touching" I have posted in another thread.

Boy I know this one, and I had to laugh at JM she sends you fairies to drive them away, too bad it is a family site, or I would have sent you something else!  I am curious though (being a blonde and all), how is it you know so much about being a blonde too?  LOL

This has a very tired, aching, ready to go beyond feel...I hope I wake up from it soon, just as I am sure you do...
