Symbols

In the evenings early hours
Floats the smell of jasmine flowers
Across the looms delicate rune
Under light of a yellow moon

And the ground in sullen lingers
Like the touch of lovers fingers
Turning love to piano reams
Where lay the quasi-drifting dreams.

The voice of natures gaming sound
Like baying dogs where game is found.
Those staying howls that wails and falls
Each single sound that makes its call

The breeze catches its aching prey
Making its final stand at bay
A moment’s charm away from harm
With trembling heart in high alarm

Fierce symbols touch the real of birth
Jasmine and fear that stalk the earth

Seymour, your beautiful images open my soul  to new music. I sense a beautiful symphony of sensual description playing through a lovely vapor of symbols, enriching our poetry. Thanks!

Could this poem be any cooler!!
Stinky this is delightful ...
the combination of imagery, rhyme and life's moral is classic Sy poetry.
But for me its the vision that your poems always contain...those lines of clever depth and unique analogy....written with your egde of way-cool-perspective.
