In moment of weakness heart fluttered, fell
an instant of your magic, caught in spell
bound to your soul, many lifetimes ago
no memories of the past, still, I know

unspoken knowledge of intimate thought
answers to questions, unwittingly sought
comfort indescribable, you with me
our paths to cross, seems it was destiny

inevitable us meeting,here, now
I don’t question the why, don’t ponder how
it is something,I have come to accept
a mystery my soul, quietly kept

a mirror reflection, soul recognized
a plan that fate had so timely devised

A very lovely sonnet, my friend.  Though not a believer is fate, I do find the concept intriguing, nonetheless.  (((hugs)))

Dave, I hope something wonderful happens to change your mind....I have met people in my life and ya know, you just know them, that instant connection doesn't "just happen" it's soul recognition believe as you choose dear one, either way is good... and I thank you

I love this! And the last two lines are perfectly phrased

La la la... this poem is gorgeous and epic.  It reads like a song just because it flows so easily.

What a beautiful sonnet!
I am constantly impressed by your poetic growth and artistry!
Now, I must rest and allow my heart to reduce it's rate and remind myself this was not, unhappily, written for me.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Upon reading some of your other pennings, this would tell me that you have a lot more coming from that mind of yours.  Your muse sits your shoulder quite well.
