Light my candle Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." NIV John 8:32 O Creator! Lord of my Soul I look to you, my flesh grows old Dimming, dying. decaying, clay Questions of man, I ask today. People of cloth have chastened me Because with You I walk so free For with my mind and soul I think Could many be lying to us with stink? I have found questions, thoughts that dare Disbelieve much of history’s fare Of what they tell me is called sin Are they illusions taught by men? For in man’s written Word From Thee The One with Wars, and misery Where Christ was born and shed His Blood Are You just Father of our mud?. I know that You made Women, too And animals and plants and dew I ask in great humility Has man just filtered what we see? Hid much knowledge to make us do What man with bondage says is true? Could it be true that man’s desire Has darkened views of Woman’s fire? Named Your Spirit in Woman, sin To steal her beauty and lust therein? Is earth still dark with man’s cold night? Very nice Newell. Christ frees us from so many things, I think as long as we keep everything in perspective and do His will and live acording to His word. If something does not feel right to me, then I just don't do it. I don't try to figure it out, I beleive He guides me, and if it doesn't feel right then it is not right. On the other hand, it may feel right for someone else, and then it would be their decision. I dont judge anyone, it is not my job to do so. We are supposed to judge ourselves. That is what He told us. And of course in the end, He is the one who judges..does that make sense? beautiful poem. floria Floria |
