what's cooking on my plate for today?
spins on top of poles, sometimes stays,
whirled delight, caught in continuous turns
our spirts lie served, ambitions burn.

platters of first and second courses twirl
matters of the heart in constant whirl
frenzied moments of lives done quick
spin off the top of pole-like sticks

lives in fast lanes are the dishes that spin
gallant young gents throw their lives in bins
to catch elusive roles, win fame 'toute de suite'
takes more than spinning plates on steak spits.

try your luck at the shooting galleries too
variety of challenges in this great human zoo
aim your muzzle at a target and win a prize
maybe you'll walk home with a dished surprise!

BRAVO!!! Oh my gosh, this is such a powerful message, sweet friend, it almost sounds to me that rather than being forced to labor, as in cleaning dishes, we should all take aim at our dreams upon the shooting gallery of life and continue to strive for that bulls-eye with patience, in which we are all bound to hit the jackpot someday! (big huggsssss) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much, your words are always so edifying! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Martin - Great metaphor about life and matters of the heart.  I hope I can get a dished surprise one day.  Nice writing.

enjoyed the read. ( I must admit, my first thought was of the Ed Sullivan show with the twirling plate act )  finely written as is the usual for your efforts.
