You never look up anymore
Are you tired of finding the line
between the gray and white above
Weary from digging in the silver mine

You’re an angel enveloped by your wings,
where you huddle quietly and cry
So upset with your fruitless efforts,
to the point where you won’t even try

For rainbows are too long to travel,
and it is tough to toil in the sky
And it is hard to fight for tomorrow
when you believe the storm clouds will not dry

So abandon the silver mine,
though it is a waste, a lurid sin
For it still contains so many treasures
of promise, of what could have been

Dave darling boy oh this is sooooooo good. Truly outstanding, as always, you are such a fine poet. I love the way you’ve written this, it’s utterly superb, the flow is divine all the way through. Your use of perfect imagery abound in this truly this is excellent writing.

Now jacket tie and shirt you say?
I thought we’d gone past three anyway
Weren’t you up to nine or ten?
I thought I heard you mumble then?
But if you’re stuck on number three
I’ll be gentle Dave just follow me
You’ll be asking is there more?
Leave it to me and soon you'll soar

This really is an excellent piece darling boy, you have excelled yourself.
Wonderful writing utterly wonderful

Love and warm stuff

I saw more in the title than just the two words, and once again, you did not let me be disappointed...

and for that, I thank you...

===========================

The cadence in this was superb...
it reads with melodics and has unique theme and imagery...
the silver mine inspire was intriguing.
very cool writing poet sir.

And so close to the end of the feelings we've known.
