Not once,
but every time he speaks
my resolve, such as it is
melts into nothing

His words,
written with little thought
as to who I am or my deepest wish
manages to call to my heart
with damning precision

Shhh...
be quiet poet
lest I fall in love again
with your eloquence,
then who will save me?

Does this mean you don't want me to write you that poem?

Interesting, Tier, as I read this last lines for the writer to be speaking to him/herself, so that the other poet may still write...

this enjoys my smile....and I have enjoyed the read....
