I Want To Dance

Hearing tender notes of your words
caressing me with gentle touch
Flowing like the spring song of birds
from a heart that’s offering much

Swaying to silent rhythm, felt,
as they fill my soul with delight
Inner feelings that make me melt
while over the distance they invite

The mood lifts me with sweet desire
when waves of passion start to build
We both know what would then transpire
from music that leaves us fulfilled

I want to dance to written song
with hints of a future unknown
Held safe in arms where I belong
wrapped in the love that you have shown

Yes, this does sound like the perfect dance doesn’t it? I think that you shall find a worthy partner for your dance before long Karen. Such a soft romantic heart doesn’t walk alone for too long.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Karen, this is so very beautiful. Your poetry just gets better and better and better. I love it and I love you!

"I want to dance to written song
with hints of a future unknown
Held safe in arms where I belong
wrapped in the love that you have shown"

May I say:

When you want to dance I'll write you a song
The words of your heart I'll just sing along
As you and your lover fly higher than high
Wrapped in your Starlight that shines from your sky.

((Karen))

Would you prefer a waltz or a foxtrot?
