Upon the wall of coldest stone
I guard in chill of breeze and bone
as crocs do swim the moat below
and arch does take the feel of bow

As pot of oil doth boil and shake
the earth below thy feet wilt quake
For gate of oak and rope and steel
doth make the beat of heart reveal.

In arms of blade, of knife and shield
the lives of souls in night are sealed
as oil in fall does bring to cry
and fire of torch does gleam in eye

From high above the wall of stone
and low within shrill lips will groan
as maid and child do cry a tear
from fright of night and will of fear.

The fight does go in search of quest
to win and wage in war to best
and blood of red doth flow from me
for right of peace and chivalry.

Hello Barry
All I can say is "Wow".  I believe you to be one of the most chivalrous poets on here and your words certainly soothe this maiden's heart.

Take care....Sue
