~ It Takes Two ~
An old challenge

One hand alone can’t clap in time
It takes two to find the beat in rhyme
One leg can’t dance without its pair
Two legs will prance like Fred Astair
One lip isn’t any use without its mate
It takes two to kiss at the garden gate
Two eyes to see the stunning sight
One eye alone might miss the light

Two arms can hold you tenderly
One arm is used quite casually
One on it’s own can love that’s true
But nothing beats the love of two
Two lips will make the smile complete
To show the joy when souls do meet
It takes two to make the night-time sing
Two hearts together simply ring

Two singers’ voices blending perfectly
Fills the heart and soul with sympathy
There’s nothing like the sound divine
Of hearts beating in perfect time
One heart alone can’t soar so high
Two souls together will surely fly
It takes two to stir heat such as this
Two mouths to meet in passions’ kiss
