Digital Art ........by Floria

Chapel In The Valley

There's an old weathered chapel
In the valley down below.
Hidden among the trees so well
No one would ever know.

That this haunting little chapel
Existed on this lush green land.
Among the trees and river bank
In its own way standing grand.

The weddings that were attended
And blessed christenings of glory.
The sorrowful funerals all held here
Each tell their own heartfelt story.

Of this tiny age old chapel
In the valley among the trees.
Where people join together
To give thanks upon their knees.

Its tower standing tall and proud
Reaching up to painted skies.
This vision fading not with time
Brings tearful memories to my eyes.

Floria, dear gal:
I don't know which i like better:  the poem or the art,
but both, truly are AWESOME!  Dang.  I am an art lover
from waaaaaay back, and that is impressive.....totally!

Also like the mystery of all the stories that developed
in each church, the memories they invoke, the depth of faith felt.

All in all, a wonderful wonderful submission!
WTG, Floria!  (way to go)

What a beautiful visual Floria ... an enchanting scene you've painted with these words. A few years ago, I was trying to get back into some oil painting, and did a scene that this poem reminded me of, and wanted to pass it along to you. Thanks for this lovely and peaceful read.

PS ... Floria ... I just updated the link for you ... I didn't realize you'd done the artwork above as well as the poem! That is amazing ... truly wonderful!  What an incredible talent you have. You make me want to dust off that easel again and give it another go!  I would love to be able to paint like that!  Excellent!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Hello Floria

Your talent for art and writing compliment each other beautifully in this heartwarming piece.  You weaved your words so well and paint such vivid images.  This would have to be a favourite of mine.

Take care....Sue

Marge thank you so very much for your kind words. and I cannot thank you enough for helping me to help brian post his picture and what came of that was a search by me to do it myself and as you see I have succeeded, I would not have tried it, had it not been for you. You made it look so easy I knew I had to be able to. Now I must teach brian...LOL..thank Marge for all your help. floria
