If only burns.
Tears the page.
A sad regret
from an other age.
But by the by
the days go on
like so many
forgotten song.

There will be grief.
A somber hue.
But every seconds'
for life renew.
So take this thought.
Remember this.
On many morn
the sun does kiss.
Even rain
or blowing gale
are gifts to make
the past so pale.

If only
cannot change the now.
It's only you
has that power.
Don't dwell on past.
Miss the view.
A vista made for only you.

Every moment
seconds turn
minutes pass
hours burn.
They are but few
in grander scemes.
All the past
is only dreams.

The nightmare comes
when we,re awake.
Doom ourselves
the past to take.
Mistakes we make
they are our due.
For breathing long
they can imbue.
Wisdom strong
a path replete
with canny knowledge
to guide our feet.
As we go
to fresher page.
We hope that wisdom blesses age.

What a great response to Kit's poem, and so much insight.  Great job on this one.

What a wonderfully inspirational read to conteract the remorse within my originating post Woodtic!  This is a perfect response ... filled with wisdom and encouragement for all of us who get buried under the "if only's" of life. Such a lovely flow to your words, and excellent phrasing ... thank you so very much for sharing these words. I enjoyed this tremendously!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Just moved by such truth. Had to respond. Humbly I thank you for reading, one and all and hope Kit that the telling lightens the load.
