Not Ready for the Rain to Leave

Azure blue, so clear the sky today
the sun, she's peeking in so bright
but I think I'm missing some, the gray,
and perhaps there's too much light

I'm not ready for the rain to leave
I need a reason for my heart so heavy
it is difficult for me to believe
I'd like dams to flood, to break this levy

If a song comes on with sweet violin
I feel the chills go across my soul
the tears they fill and well within
for a moment of feel, so old

For I won't cry in the light of the sun
and you can't get me to be the one
to pull you down, nor make you frown
no, I won't rain on your parading fun

But I shall let your memory loose
to go the way of you, if you choose
I'm just not ready for the rain to leave
for it would mask the way I grieve

Lady....you wear your heart on your sleeve and your tearfilled verses fall like cadenced rain.
this is a bittersweet beauty.
must be read aloud to do it justice.
Love the way you carried out the theme.
tis been too long since we read thy words.

So it seems your saving grace was only saving face,
you thought he was wanting you...
but he was only wanting you to let him off the hook.

you tug lightly on the heart strings today dear Lady....I loved this, and need to put it into the treasure box....thank you again for a wonderful treasure.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

And with the rain do mingle tears
from all the memories over the years
and when the rains do once abate
the memory goes on...though it is late..

Nicely written,  sad,  but very beautiful..

water
is the birth and
the wash away of death
rain the broom of new days

I enjoyed our view on this

Dear Lady, this is wonderful even though the sadness of words.
I too love the rain, although perhaps for different reasons.
Beautifully penned.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh my gosh, this is soooooo sad but beautiful, sweet friend, I can understand how you feel and I hope you rid of all the memories that ache your heart but once you rid of them all, then let the rain stop feeling and may your heart shine with sunshine and flood you with hope of new happiness to fill you! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, my thoughts are with you, this is fabulous! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Not the norm for you, Lady, though beautiful.
I much prefer the happy Lady

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
