wrote this in 1997 and performed it as spoken word
with jazz for over a year.....then changed it for a while turnin' it into a rockin guitar/harmonica piece
now a days I'm back to doin'it as poetry, just me!

Vultures at the bar
swoopin' down thru the bone yard
Vultures on the street...layin' back
waitin' for that treat
sittin' up high in a tree
they ain't gonna worry me
waitin' up in the sky
lookin' for something to die.....

Vultures hangin' round
on the scent like a
pack a hounds
Vultures got their eyes
on the ground
just waitin' to expound
they are bound for the ground
always lookin' down
on all those around.....

Comanding a promitory point
these Vultures think they
own the joint....
yet, scraps is all they'll get
big (((slaps))) in the face
then this tremendous amount
of space..................
time to float around
they'll always be lookin' down
findin' something to pick apart

Decay nipping beauty
in the bud...............Mark Coburn

(big hugggsssssssss) Oh Mark, this one touched my heart deeply, it saddens me to see the world filled with vultures sometimes and I pray that someday we can all learn to respect and love one another the way we all deserve to be treated and fly and sing like sparrows instead! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is wonderful! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Mark, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
