Beneath thy breach thee knight doth wait
in shadow of thy grill and grate
as moon and stars in eyes doth shine
Tis me...tis me...in love of thine.

For at yon door of chamber high
thine servant doth keep watch of eye
And in thy sleep ye shall once view
most pure of love mine heart imbue

Wilt thee in sleep spur to desire
as visions doth thy passions fire
Yay maid, of thine this heart is true.
Wilt not thy bed be come once two

Mine heart wilt jump at whispered call
if thee wilt let thy kerchief fall
And into arms of mine thee fly
as thy love’s dance doth wait thee nigh

Yon call of trump and flute and lyre
shall take thee to our dance of fire.
Thy feet so soft, in step of light
In gown of red thee beauty's sight

Lovely write Barry, I love this verse.

"Mine heart wilt jump at whispered call
if thee wilt let thy kerchief fall
And into arms of mine thee fly
as thy love’s dance doth wait thee nigh"

So enchanting. floria

thy poem tis a sigh in waiting
a breathless high of anticipating

tho thy name reads Magnus ... we shall call thee Romeo

very well done Poet Sir

So it seems your saving grace was only saving face,
you thought he was wanting you...
but he was only wanting you to let him off the hook.

Oh Barry ... what a wonderful cadence throughout. Such a soft flow, enhanced by the excellent use of language. This was a delight to read, very much enjoyed!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Thy whispered word comes upon the air
thy seek of hand still lingers there
upon thy cheek laid soft, caress
and hold this heart within thy chest

Ah, Sire, from this well please drink
bring love back from slumber's brink
through the shadows of evermore,
softly bid me through this door

For I would bid thee sweet adieu
if thee promise twilight with you
