Winter’s Tide I walked the beach this morning breathing in the chill winter sprayed across the water exposing more than I cared to feel today I walked it alone the same places I had been with you and the white sand had turned gray I had to admit it was a different view I could again see you in the surf swimming close and by my side I turned when I heard the gulls crying and you were gone just like the tide "Pour yourself thick, when it is you, that you spread." |
