I searched for the words
Knowing any found or shared
Would in no way bridge the distance
Between the reality of today
And the images held in dream

Still I searched
Looking in the bottom of drawers
Kept locked inside my heart
Rummaging through the things left
Folded in each for the syllables
For the sounds

It was forgone
They could not roll from my tongue
Or fly from fingers to grace a page
In a way you would be moved
To understand my needs

Still
I searched
Hoping to find You

Cpat

Some things are too big for words.  Very frustrating for one who wants to say.  Glad to see you here this morning.

Cpt Hair darling boy shall I just say something short like this is good writing? Noooooooooooo of course not, because it’s not good writing, it’s stunningly fabulous writing. YOU are a superb writer my friend.

Fabulous writing and this is so descriptive so vivid in its image of someone searching for but not finding what they seek. Absolutely excellent
