dark skin lady
takes my money
slides the jack dan to my cuff

leans to whisper
there are songs left
on the jukebox

no country please
makes me want
to get nasty

and I still have 5 hours
of babysittin'
the old fools

tryin' to be young,
like the limo hos'
they brought downtown...

she touches a tattoo
on my wrist
says she has one too

was natural
born with it
no cracker gonna
shove no needles in her skin

but she won't show it
makes her wanna
get nasty

when she shows it
and she still has 5 hours
to baby sit
the old fools...

dark skin lady
butterfly birthmark
on the round of her hip
sips jack dan

touches a tattoo
on my wrist
leans and whispers

was it worth the wait?

your gift for setting the mood and for defining it with imagery is impressive poet sir.

So it seems your saving grace was only saving face,
you thought he was wanting you...
but he was only wanting you to let him off the hook.
