It always takes two for a rendezvous
That will sustain a lifetime through.

It always takes two for a tête a tête
To last forever once you've met.

It always takes two, an addend to sum
To live as one all days to come.

It always takes two for a complement ~
A perfect balance never spent.

It always takes two for a tandem ride
Life's obstacles met side by side

It always takes two to say, "Yes, I Do
Forever want to be with You."

The challenge was just to use the phrase "It always takes two"...

Nan,
And from this one, let me say this my dear.
You were the one made me feel welcome here.
A God-send to many, an anchor of hope,
when blows the wind foul, and have reached end of rope.

We had a lot of fun with this challenge - Way back in early 1999... PdV's is excellent as well, isn't it?

Maureen.. Go for it - and thanks..

Martie.. Thankya - You've certainly given us your wondrous share of good stuff - It's we who are grateful..

Noah.. We smile at YOUR loving heart...

Doc.. Thankya.. and - When you think you're at the end of your rope... Tie a knot and hang on with all you've got...

Nan, this has all the flavor of the wedding wishes of decades ago...one of my favorite songs [which I was SURE my folks wrote] was Tea for Two...

This belongs on a card for weddings!!
I just came across PD's post of this...and like her I will say to you...you've been here from the begining with a handful of others and Ron of course...being a part of Passions growth into this grand site and achieving something special is a wonderful accomplishment, and something to be proud of.

you mean to tell me there was LIFE before the archives??

damn!! it seems so long ago! yeah, i remember it... i was but a child! a babe in the woods! a bit of an innocent lassie, i was, blindly clicking around cyberspace like i was gonna find something! and ya know what? i DID!! i found the PRE-ARCHIVES! and there i was and there you were and there was a few others, too, and i remember all of them very well and didn't we have a blast? i mean, it was like so frigging AWESOME!! and then came Open #1 ... 1999 i think it was... ahhhh yes... "doreen, come on over and try out this new software", you told me and i said, "ok, will do, in a while"... the next day you told me again and i said, "ok, will do, in a while"... hehe... somewhere I think deep down inside me, I KNEW that once i came over here and started using all this fancy dancy blue page ultimate bulletin board software, i'd be HOOKED and i would NEVER HAVE A LIFE AGAIN!!!!!!

*sigh*

but anyway, all that's history... hehe

it takes two alright.... two much, two little, two late... no wait!! that's too... too of me and too of you... phooey! umm... i know!! let's go TWO the blue pages and stay there for 3 years living in a box!! LOL!!

ok, i'm gonna shut up now... sorry... *blush*.. i got a little carried away..

what i really wanted to say is this..

great poem, Nan!

There were these little cards you used to be able to buy years ago, before they cost $4-5 each and they had cute birds on the front just like these ones, and I was thinking what an adorable verse this would have made for inside those cards (that was a compliment by the way), as I know some don't like hearing that! Very, very cute Nan, sorry I am late commenting on it.

~* If I made you "feel" anything at all today, that makes me smile *~

It always takes two for a harmony
Love's sweet duet so wild and free...

(my variation!)

I enjoyed your poem.  A nice way to expand upon a thought.  I tried this with "Go ahead, lie to me..." when I was in a bad mood, one day.  Of course, it was much more negative (and, I took it offline, too!).  It helped me get a grip on things, though.

Yep this is a hallmark card waiting to happen What a cute, well written poem, you've made me smile with this

Take care,
