Lower your barriers
invite them in
take some chairs
the air is thin

set in circles
face to face
hands must meet
faces must face

Raise the roof
guests must grow
walk up ladders
top levels show.

Raise your barriers
migration stops
tolerance wanes
peace will flop.

From your writing I think of the difference between what we say and what we do...
How we foster closeness, or keep it away...
Good thoughts. ThisDiamond

(sigh) Oh Martin, I couldn't agree with you more on your visions of tolerance, it feels as though we can only be tolerant to one another if we are close to each other so looking into ones eyes we can seem more earnest! (big hugggssssss) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I think many of us are too comfortable how we live, we pretend to be tolerant by inviting discussion but in actual fact we feign peacemaking and we seek to promote our own views.

Martin - If only we could trust one another enough for this vision to come true.  Hopefully, someday we will be able to, but for now we will have to, unfortunately, live with some barriers.  Very good write and message.

Great writing, Martin...
Unfortunately, we have to live in a world with barriers right now, but maybe someday...by the time our grandchildren have children...things will change.

Lyra,

But barriers have always existed in some way, shape or form, because just as much as there is assimilation there is always a tendency for some of the populace to seek distinction.I would like to optimistic like you though
