The earth
parched,
the need for rain
evident.
The ground
begs,
to feel the touch of rain
necessary.
With a clap
thunderous,
the heavens open
relinquishing.
This land
drinks,
from the well of life
refreshed.

Noah, right now we can thank Mother Nature for the gift of much needed rain.  Thanks.

jwesley, the rain sounds so very soothing to the weary soul on this eve.  It indeed refreshes.  Thanks hon.

It seems your rain song brought about that which was so needed.
Good work!

Deer it is a neverending cyle that mother earth goes through.  Thanks
for the stop by.

Actually it was that which was so needed that brought my words
Sandra.  Thanks, you are in my thoughts.

Gentle spirit this is beautiful, in England you know we have plenty of rain. This is a beautiful piece of writing I could actually hear  the rain, it is raining outside, but I could have heard the rain without it being so. Thank you really good writing

This poem says well what much of us have been
in need of over the past couple of years..
I am thankful to say we have had our share
over the past couple of days...
