~Soul Advice~ Always love unconditionally without counting the cost Shine a light of love so that souls will n’er be lost Smile through adversity giving all that you can Offer your hand in friendship to your fellow man Be there whenever the day seems to miss desire Offer to warm up others in the heat of love's fire Never give up no matter how hard the road ahead Don’t become vain let others take the praise instead Always wear a smile and wear it through the day Give out love to all as you pass along your way Take time to look around you seeing real beauty Rest your eyes in wonder take note of what you see Think before you speak now consider what you say Carry love within you each and every day Don't live in regret speak words that are true Just try to be honest loving and only ever you Always try your best no matter what you do Give all you can, others need your support too Don’t fear failure you can learn more from this Everyone at sometime has felt sorrow’s sad kiss Try not to worry about any of your mistakes Get up and try again for you have what it takes Stand and face the world come look it in the eye One day you'll find that you can finally fly Marsha To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 |

Marsha, darling girl. Your poem, "Soul Advice", I find very precious. May I respond with a little poem of my own, inspired by your words? Walking down a winding road one dark day I heard an angel singing in the air Sweet music from a harp of God in play I looked and listened as she sang so fair. You must love unconditionally, free And shine your light to other souls out there Give of yourself all peace and joy you see And never fear just sail into the air. And should you fall, get up, and rise again Never worry 'bout mistakes or sorrow Do not dwell on losses, grief or your pain For the sun will be brighter tomorrow. Get up! Go try again, dry you tears, smile One day you'll fly up through the sky As you soar across the blue, many miles All you can see look squarely in your eye. This darling angel sang these words to me And now I'm flying like she said. See? Whee! Your poetry just gets better and better and better. Any stanza could have stood, proudly, on its own, but put together, they were sage advice belying a great wisdom, especially looking the storm in the eye, and beating the worse it has to offer. Marsha, this really was a splendid write, with a great presentation. tSR |
