Sometimes a heart must hurt to heal
when swamped with feelings so real.
When we sit and want to just say...
Lord please, come and take this away.

Sometimes the grief overcomes us now
as we sit wondering, asking them how.
Sometimes the loss hurts so very much
as once we again do wish to just touch.

My heart is touched by the feeling
as your own mind is still grieving.
And I want to leave you a thought
that all we lose is not for naught.

Their memory your mind will keep
as they in rest do peacefully sleep.
And even though we each shed a tear
that memory will be near, ever clear.

Emily, this is for you in your moment...I know your pain too well..You touched me very deeply today...

Hello Barry

I have no doubt that your lovely words will help to bring comfort to Emily.  How easily I was able to relate to this as I had recently posted a poem about my father called "Guided By Your Love".  I find that writing about the love I felt for him brings me much relief.

Take care......Sue
