In the silence of morning before break of day
The faeries are dancing to whisk me away
Their beauty and wonder their magic of flight
Bring me to my knees and seal off the night

Show me hope yield me truth
Give me glimmers of dreams… held in my youth

A glimmer of lightening is seen in their dance
My heart is yearning to partake their romance
But day crawls on slowly in response to sun's rise
And I am left wanting with tears in my eyes

Show me hope yield me truth
Give me glimmers of dreams… held in my youth

Their magic and mystery enfolds me in mist
As by the spirit of promise of their dance I kissed
The faeries are dancing my heart  beats in time
In tune I recall when all dreams were mine

Show me hope yield me truth
Give me glimmers of dreams… held in my youth

The dreams of remember are filling my heart
Tears well in my eyes and areforming  apart
The faeries are dancing with dreams held aloft
The yearning descending as morning comes soft

Show me hope yield me truth
Give me glimmers of dreams… held in my youth

I wait through the daylight and wake through the night
To know faeries dancing appear to my sight
In whisper of morning before day begins
The faeries are dancing and my heart sings

Show me hope yield me truth
Give me glimmers of dreams… held in my youth

In sadness and sorrow I bid them begone
As morning comes too soon and mid morn is done
Somewhere in my spirit the faeries do dance
But till silence of morn I'm bereft of romance

Show me hope yield me truth
Give me glimmers of dreams… held in my youth
For I am weary I tire of romance
And faeries capture the scent of life's dance.
Faeries can capture the dreams of my youth
Pleas faeries lead me to wisdom and truth

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Keth darling sister of my soul’s delight OH MY this is what I was talking about, it’s utterly utterly breathtaking in its beauty. YOUR pen has been absent from these pages too long. DON’T GO AWAY AGAIN, I missed you darling heart. I know I spoke to you daily but I didn’t get any jewels to sparkle in my dreams sky. I missed your beauty, I missed the special Keth magic that only you can lay before me. I know you weren’t well, I’ll forgive you, but don’t do it again. Next time drag your poor sick self to the computer and leave me a gem

I wub you

Keth .. this is beautiful, in its whistful longing and its cadence kissed imagery and fantasy.I loved the repetative lines and the way you incorportated their theme in the closing verse, bringing the whole inspire full circle.
creative and wonderful writing and presentation.
Well done Kethry-girl

Oh Kethry this is beautiful and I love the faeries so. You don't have to be on a spiritual path to believe in Faeries,
you just need to have a heart that can love...to have just once in your life wished upon a star.
This is extremely well done!

'glimmers of dreams held in my youth'. Whew! Suddenly I could see a memory I haven't had in years. I miss the wonder of youth, this brings it back. And then I'm struck by the wistfulness in the poem. Very well done. You are the expert at this.

I love the way you presented this one, Keth.
It is also very beautifully expressed.

Kethp my absolutely favourite aunt hi there, Oh yes I like this one of yours. Mum is right always when she says someone is a good writer and you are. I really do love the whole of this, it’s so evocative, one of those poems you read and remember.

Thank you for this one I’m keeping it I think it’s very special

These lines express better than I could my reaction to reading your beautiful poem... for I felt the longing... it finds only an occasional respite in dreams.

This is stunning, Kethry... written so well. *S* And the final plea has me sighing "Me, too..." *S*
