I must tell you that my mom is 92 and has alzheimers. And she doesn't know me.

My Mother--pantoum

Through the years your love I always knew.
Mother dear, will you ever see?
Just how gratefull I am now to you.
Do you know me? Do you know it's me?

Mother dear, will you ever see?
I wish old memories you could now recall.
Do you know me? Do you know it's me?
Dearest mother I've loved you best of all.

I wish old memories you could now recall.
Of happier days, when we were on our own.
Dearest mother I've loved you best of all.
I wish you knew me now that I'm full grown.

Of happier days when we were on our own.
I'll remember always your lovely face.
I wish you knew me now that I'm full grown.
My mother you have remained so full of grace.

Floria

A beautiful tribute, Floria...to a woman who must've given you much strength in her time.

This is wonderful and pantoum form is perfect here.  I enjoy this form also.  Deep heartfelt write Floria.

Dear Floria,
I've done a few pantoums, and this one is excellent. Wonderful feeling in it, too. I'm sorry about your mother. Why does everyone get Alzheimers now? They didn't used to. I don't understand it at all.

I wish I had the answer to that Nan, and since I see it's destruction first hand, it frightens me, thanks for replying, floria
