On the porch of creaking boards,
~ the rocker sways in rhythm

Children run playing child games,
~ he’s humming an old man’s hymn

Girl of six sitting on steps,
~ joins his song in off key sing

I like this, I felt like I was in the woods, mountains in background, and this was a cabin of sorts, I could see the children shoeless and that rocking chair. very nice. floria

(smiles) Awwwwwwww, this is soooooo beautifully soothing, sweet friend, this poem reminds me of every summer when I go into the country to visit my grandparents and how I imagine what  they think of me as I watch them rock on the swing as they watch the cardinals eating from the birdfeeders! (big hugggssssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is wonderful! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Aszard, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

PG,
That could've been my grandpa! Great memory. Thanks.
