The Nature of God's Love

Dedicated to Aaron and Charlane, Mr. and Mrs. Eccard
on the eve of their wedding

*****

"Who is this that appears like the dawn,
fair as the moon, bright as the sun,
majestic as the stars in procession?"
NIV Song of Solomon 6:10

Love is a but spark that soon consumes
with flames dissolving mire
fuelling, dueling in hot desire.
As young souls soar higher,

Bursting upward, creeping, leaping,
seeking, reaching for stars
in far off galaxies
in majestic ecstasies.

As love-charged electrons begin caking
attracting, impacting, making, breaking
solid matter back into sheer energy
in flashes of fiery lightning.

All nature sees and feels swarms
of bursting white-hot sensual culmination's
with elation, in sizzling sensations
as two spirits fuse to multiply
extending God's continuing creation.

As two, newly attracted, rising stars
create new glowing light; beginning a new galaxy
to shine, twinkle brightly
radiating, emanating spewing new rays of energy
praising God in new glory in the heavens.

In Holy Matrimony,

O yes, it is the Nature of God's Love.

Thank you, floria. Yes, indeed. The wedding was a indeed a splendid celebration although we had an ice storm and blizzard. But my nephew and new niece are now somewhere in sunny California hiding away on their honeymoon. All was perfect! And my new niece is so beautiful. And she was very pleased with her poem. Thank you for bringing this back.

Thank you, Karen. Yes, I always try to write truthfully from my heart. And I appreciate your kind and thoughtful words of trust to me. I love you, Karen, very much and always want you to believe that what I try to do is in truth, love and honesty.

And yes, the bride and bridegroom both were very much appreciative of the poem as were others in attendance. The poem took the place of singing during the lighting of the unity candle, and so I was very highly honored by the bride.
