~* The Poetry Of Her Soul *~

With such trembling hands
she fondled the comforting journal
holding her screams and dreams.
It bulged with words purged
from an innocent heart and soul,
releasing small shards of pain,
pent up anger, shame and blame.

Was there nowhere except these
tear-stained pages of yellow
she could write of her pain,
to have others tell her that
her words had any merit?
She wanted the world to know
that somehow she mattered, and,
perhaps she was not alone.

"The poetry of my soul has no home,
Just as the feelings of my heart
go unheard, unnoticed, unpunished."

With a light sob and a heavy sigh,
she tucked her journal under her arm
and somehow felt comforted knowing
someone would listen.

Sharon

Such a true thought in any time...long handed with feather quill or word processor..to write the heart frees the soul.

This was beautiful!

This is so beautiful and I love the picture. But then, everything you write is amazing. You are a very talented lady.

And in her pain
she found release
she finally gained
peaceful surcease
by write of quill
on page of white
a lonely figure
throughout the night

but write she did
no pain too great
for whomever may hear
her story of fate
she took great care
to place her tear
for by this share
to end her fear

I am left kind of speechless here (hard to believe isn't it?), as I just whipped this out.  I had a wee pain in my heart for all those that have no where to cry out with their inner pain, and usually journal it with no one to share it with, or get feedback from that they are not alone to settle their fears and anxiety.  I see you all got it, and that pleases me to no end, thank you from the bottom of my heart - and yes Nan, this came right from the very pit of my soul.
