~Only You~ No one has ever caressed my heart the way you do I feel the wonder and the total awe of you Such truth flows from your soul when it talks to me I understand the reasons for the rhyme perfectly When you hold me tight we converse heart to heart I know you’ll never try to take me apart I give my heart to you knowing you’ll hold it near As I treasure yours and count it always dear Only you have brought about this change in me Before there was you I wandered aimlessly I had no direction in my life I was unhappily sore I roamed everywhere seeking sanctuary’s door Alone and adrift my heart knew too much pain It had lost its tune, didn’t know the refrain You arrived gifting me with such eternal peace That all my endless strife simply ceased When you speak to me I swear I hear music play My soul flies to you and wants to always stay There’s no truth if it doesn’t fall from your lips And nourishment I take from you in sips Love washes over me when you speak my name Fire starts to burn in an incandescent flame Without you there’s nothing, I simply cease to be With you I have everything I become me Marsha To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 [This message has been edited by Marsha (02-27-2002 04:32 PM).] |

Marsha, darling girl, your poetry just gets better and better and better and better. And as it does you know that I just melt like butter in your spell. You are so magnificent. And so, I say: There was a time when we first met, I knew That all of love was made by God in you For you were pure and honest I could see Your love was God's pure gift of ecstasy. And as we flew to heavens farthest shore My burning just got hotter more and more And now our flames are fused as we are one Flying brighter than the farthest sun. Marsha - I am glad you don't roam around all sore anymore looking for sanctuary's door. It is always a pleasure to read your writing. By the way, I saw your daughter has gotten hold of your computer. I don't know if I like this development. The two of you on one site, that might be more then I can handle.lol On the other hand, she can hold down the fort while you come and visit me for a tiny speck of tea. Why a speck? Because the water in the kettle has almost all evaporated by now.lol  Dave |
