Passion’s Moon

The air is crisp and cold outside,
the night is dark and clear
Strong emotions will not subside,
I blink a frozen tear

My breath misting in freezing air,
the sigh I can’t hold back
A silver globe makes me aware
of what it is I lack

I gaze in wonder at the sight,
so bright against the sky
Desire, in me, it does ignite,
with all that will imply

The heat I feel starves off the cold,
I’m lost within a dream
Where arms will pull me close to mold
and eyes that are agleam

A burning that has reached it’s crest
from a kiss made to swoon
I need the thing for which I quest,
the love from passion’s moon

Karen hi there, I love the flow of this it’s absolutely perfect.

Very well written the majesty and the power of lover’s moon, an excellent example of poetry in motion. Beautifully portrayed by a beautiful poetess

Well done very well done

Hi Karen,

A little ray of sweet moonlight
Came through a darkened pane one night
Just searching for a maiden there
A little answer to her prayer.

An angel flew into her room
Lodged deep into her sleeping womb
A love so bright, night turned to day
Two angels, loving, God's pure way.

I love your poems, Karen. They are very beautiful.

Oh so romantic, Karen...I don't know why, but the moon inspires romance...

Oh Karen, SO DO I!!
This is great, I always have mixed feelings with the full moon. I love it so much, and yet it somehow makes you feel the lack of love even more.

Karen - The moon is sure all over the blue pages tonight.  One thing you certainly don't lack is an ability to write fine poetry.  Well done.

I am not writing the moon this time but I sure love reading it, especially when it is so well done like this one is.  Great job.
