    Melody Of My Morning

trumpets of sunshine
burst through windows
tapping on each pane
interrupting sweet violin dreams
drumming clock somehow keeps
the beat as I wake in vain
I turn over as duet
of piano and flute again
lull me back to sleep
covering me in a lullaby
and the symphony
of the sweetest retreat
a solitary audience surrounded
by webs of strings
that tie me closer to
the harmony each dream brings
once again in the background
softly at first then louder
I hear the beat of drums
it is the new tune of my day
another composition saying
my morning has come
another music stirs me
in the melody of my morning song
time for me to make
a movement and orchestrate
my day along

"Pour yourself thick, when it is you, that you spread."

(smiles) Ooohhhhhh...this is a beautiful rise-and-shine poem, sweet friend, may we smile and hear the birds chirp and soak in the sun and embrace each new day with a loving smile!
