Tendril’s Grasp

I know what it is
To look over horizon’s more
To wander in the footsteps
Of those who’ve been before
I know what it is
To gaze across ocean’s foam
To hear the crashing of the sea
To know he’s not yet home
Yes I know this loneliness
It resides its soul in me
I know what it is
In my yearn for thee

Still the morning glory faces sun
Its’ tendril's grasp for want of one

have I a soulmate
who’s heard the surf’s thund’rous crash
knowing you’re out there
yearning to be by your side
to feel the warmth of your smile

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Without the share of things,
they just don't feel the same.

Much enjoyed...especially liked the last two lines.
