Deep in the heart

Just sitting here
on my bag of troubles
pondering
where I can hide it.
The thought occurs
that it really should be
Irretrievably lost.
I don’t feel that way,
yet.
I’ll just calmly stroll
away.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Well said my friend.

Helen ~
I don't want my troubles anywhere around me.  I lose them as far away from me as I can.  I put 'em in a bag (kinda like blindfolding them) and just lose them

Sy ~
Thanks.

jwesley ~
yup. Don't want 'em to find their way back!

Sunshine ~
Heavens NO!  Don't keep 'em safe and sound ... exterminate them once and for all!

Interloper - oh ponderer of thoughts...if I wanted to sit on my bag of troubles I would have to borrow the neighbour's ladder!! Oh, to walk away and not look back. enjoyed this as I do all of your work. Chris

(big hugggssssss) This is such a beautifully thought-provoking piece, sweet friend, I too would rather leave behind all of my worries and try selling them at a rummage sale of chance for new hopes and opportunities! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this really left me pondering! You have such a beautiful heart, dearest friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Great poem Interloper.

As for troubles, I put mine on a slight priority system, and always move them to tomorrow, and by tomorrow, they get moved to the next day, and so on, so eventually they are gone!  I work on the "Don't Sweat The Small Stuff" idea that it is in fact all small stuff in the scheme of bigger things.

Interloper, Look, I'm two blocks from the water. I can throw them in for you. Make sure there's a boat anchor inside that bag though..don't want it floating to the surface.  Or!!...we can wait until summer, take it to the beach and bury it! Invite all of Passions poets and have a beach party afterwards!

Ever thought of doing a trade?  I tried to walk away from mine but the darn bag followed me.  Enjoyed the poem!

Interloper, yes! throw 'em away!

I just turn my back on anything that bothers me.  Ignore 'em and once in a while, maybe once a year or so, I get ambitious and pitch a bunch of memories in the trash, without even looking into it. I don't seem to miss what I don't see. Hehe... O occasionally I may wonder about some old keep sake with memories of long ago, but I know that now it would be impossible to find it, so I just shrug my shoulders and say to myself. O well. And take another step forward. I find that I just don't think about a lot of old pain when I get rid of the stuff that came with it. And now I have all of God's wonderful Creation! And looking at it is wonderful! Why hang on to old troubles?  Release 'em.

Interloper...Sometimes, the best thing we can do is "walk away" to another place, to another time, where we are free from all life's burdens.  Great poem!!!!

Give me your troubles and I'll toss them away
For no longer in dismay will you stay
I'll throw them out into the shores
What else is a friend for
So give them here and I'll pack them up
I'll unload them out of this truck
I'll take them to an isolated place
Where there won't be even a trace

Take care and may you be better soon.
