Silent Sonnet

Each year upon me is a wondrous phase
Of lingering thoughts in caverns of the mind
The unpronounced, yet unimagined phrase
That pours from out the dormant pools of time

It is for me, I write these muted words
The unconcealed magnificence I see
To sing the music of the morning birds
And silent verses of the rolling sea

It is my need to write of love and life
The natural beauty of the sky and earth
For I cannot contain the joy and strife
And all the spirit deems of precious worth

The season will arrive, when I am gone
Perhaps someone will read my silent song

(sigh) Sooooooo beautifully bittersweet, sweet friend, I have missed you and your gorgeous words so so much! (kiss on cheek) Your gorgeous words always sing with the birds and bloom like flowers, sweet friend, may love and laughter forever flow in your heart and may the melody of hope always fill you! We all love you so so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Elizabeth, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

About time I heard your "song", and I am sure the words will be sung for years to come sweet friend.  This says so much of you, and I loved it.

I believe the season is here and so are you
I loved your work, as usual

I loved the poem as I read it, then the last two lines. "The season will arrive, when I am gone
Perhaps someone will read my silent song"
Blew me away, so beautiful. You do that to me all the time Liz, floria

I hope that final season is far in the future... Meanwhile, someone reads... and saves to read again. *S* This is beautiful!
