He brings me moments
wrapped in time’s respire
I am wordless in offering
I can only feel
Uncontrollably

I may laugh with my heart
I may cry
tears that slide
tenderly as a woman’s should
when touched

Each time is different
as if the first
New again and again

Tiny seconds tied
with a single ribbon
streaming
accepting each as a gift

Sometimes I am mesmerized
in ancient charm
Each glance I am chanced
to be in his eyes
I fall weak
I memorize his words
ticking, discrete

even feverish
I become
for more

completely anxious
in instances
when my strength
slips from me
and drains my patience
when I must
go without him

how I’d steal away
behind the clock
in shameless
untamed momentum

where I’d search for his lips
and press one finger there
Knowing the words
longing to be declared

as a stare of silence
steals the notion
in love’s brazen continuum
becoming rapt in a bodily recital

Dear Regina, lovely to read your beautiful words tonight, you express yourself so well, one would be lucky to be so blessed as to have the care of your sincere heart, I hope that your words are read aloud to he, pages should not hide these thoughts, but be shown and treasured.
Nice to find your work once again,

Sincerely Rick

Breathtaking indeed...and how clever of you to write of "untamed momentum" and then do just that with the poem...your pace increased as the passion did till you took us to the creshendo ... and OH MY what a creshendo it tis.....

"becoming rapt in a bodily recital

have mercy baby..... *L*
nothing left to do but sigh...and sign off in poetic and passionate envy

very very cool write Regina...
how wonderful to be this inspired .

Quite delicate, and intimate as suggested by the title. "Rapt" is excellent. (Must re-read again, then back). I like the way you've made the title work. I think that sometimes we forget how much the title "wants" to say. Very, very good. Bob

My dear friend, you are quite possibly the best romantic writer I have EVER read.  I know when I see your name and read your poems there is going to always be this huge sigh at the end, and this time was certainly no exception.  It is like you have a love paint box, and this is your canvas (well you know what I mean right LOL).  Hugs, fantastic once again!

Love brings such emotions out of us. There’s no feeling like that breathlessness, that pounding of the heart. I love the way you’ve written these feelings. Very cool Regina.
