Invisible their wing-beats sound a hummed cachophony,
as dart from sweet blooms on the ground to blossoms in the trees.
A synchopated dance performed with skill at lightning speeds,
slight lilliputian creatures swarm to satisfy their needs.

Diminutive bright emerald birds, what is the world you see,
does it rush by when scant you rest, one moment just as we?
Give pause, as I watch envious, your graceful gift of flight,
these aerials remain constrained and difficult to write.

To see you hovering motionless, then swiftly dissappear,
a burst of inspiration, which shall try to capture here.
This shell's held down by gravitys' harsh laws, already wrote,
the mind knows no such boundaries so can fly with ruby-throats.

YAY!!! Oh my gosh, this is soooooooo gorgeous, I love hummingbirds, they're another one of my favorite birds as sparrows are, they always make me smile when I watch them by my bird feeder! (big hugggsssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is dazzling! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet William, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Noah,
My thanks again. They are indeed beautiful creatures which these ramblings scarcely give credit to. They are a subject I will probably touch on again when I am more competent. Thanks again for the reply.

strbbux,
Thank you. This did not come out quite as well as I had hoped. In trying to compare the flight of imagination to the flight of these birds, I feel that I may have failed both. Your comments are appreciated.
